Earl Grey Lavender Tea, 16 nylon Infuser Bags in a stay fresh container Reviews

My Favorite Tea
I discovered this brand of tea while I was in a Giant supermarket this summer in Maryland. Unfortunatly, I can’t find a store out here in California that sells it. Thank goodness for Amazon! I often find Earl Grey teas to be too bitter but this one is nice and sweet. I also love the smell of lavender. I add just a little bit of cream and a bit of sugar. It’s heavenly!

Nice, but no cigar…
This is a genuinely good tea, despite the middling rating. Like all the Revolution teas I’ve tried, it uses a good quality base tea, full leaf, with remarkably little astringency. They tend to be light-bodied, though that’s lovely in an ‘afternoon’ tea of this sort. Unfortunately, the bergamot is more lemony than recognizably ‘bergamot’ in flavor; nor was I thrilled with the lavender, though it was alright. While not a tea to object to, this is still not as well-balanced as their other varieties. If you are used to standard bagged teas, on the other hand: buy this, PLEASE! Only: don’t put milk in it. It’s far too delicate, and lacks the astringency that makes milk in tea an attraction or necessity. It’s a solecism in Earl Grey. Save it for an Assam.

Earl Grey Lavender Tea– what a treat!
I first tried lavender tea when I was on vacation in Chincoteague on the Eastern Shore. I had never seen lavender tea before, so I bought a single box with one bag of tea in it to try (this company also packages them in single boxes). It was absolutely divine~~ a little milk, a bit of sugar, and I was in lavender heaven! The sweet aroma of the lavender, mixed with the lightness of the milk, made for a wonderful evening treat. I was so excited when I found this on Amazon.com– I’m going stock up on it!
