Herbal TeaThere are different varieties of tea with different flavors and grades. One of these variety that has gained popularity not only in China, but in other parts of the world as well, is the herbal tea.

Over the years, there had been a lot of contemplation on the various health benefits that are brought about by tea. Traditionally, tea is made from the leaves and buds of some plants which are further processed into the commercial tea packing that people are enjoying today.

Aside from Camellia Sinesis leaves, there can be other herbal components that can be infused to these leaves to produce herbal tea. Herbal tea basically originates from China and the Middle East where herbs and spices are practically a part of the daily life.

The herbal tea is generally an infusion of leaves, seeds, roots, and fresh or dried flowers which is poured over by boiling water which is then allowed to steep for a few minutes. The other way of preparing herbal tea is by adding other herbs and plants to an actual tea like black, Oolong, and white among others. Although there can be limitless herbal infusions, the most preferred ones include Anise, Artichoke, Roasted Barley, and Boldo.

Anise is an herbal tea known as an anti parasitic which can be the best relief for digestive problems, toothache, and menstrual cramps. The anise is also used for the treatment of scabies and lice. The artichoke is another important tea that reduces cholesterol because of its hypolipidemic influence. Practically in the same line of health benefits, the roasted barley is an herbal tea which could influence an increase in blood fluidity, and cleanses blood impurities. Finally, one of the most indispensable herbal tea is most households is Boldo which is used effectively in calming upset stomachs.
