Water Sprite Ginger Oolong is an intriguing premium Numi tea. It is an oolong tea—low in caffeine and in many ways more similar to a green tea than a black tea. It is certified organic, and is kosher. It contains just organic Shui Hsein oolong tea and organic Chinese ginger.

On the box, the manufacturer says it better than I ever could: “Throughout its 3000 year old history, ginger has long been called a gift of the gods. Evoking a sense of clarity and purity, this invigorating root is used in Chinese medicine to enhance tea. Tea comes from a single plant, the Camellia Sinensis. If left to wither, the leaves turn black. If immediately steamed, they remain green. Our organic Shui Hsein Oolong, or Water Sprite, is only partially oxidized, retaining the properties of green tea while capturing the depth of black tea.
