White Peony (Bai Mu Dan) Loose Leaf White Tea

Also known as Bai Mu Dan, this treasured white tea, consisting of silvery white down-covered leaves and buds, is hand harvested during early spring. When steeped, the tea leaves produces a sweet, nutty liquor, reminiscent of toasted grain.

Brewing White Tea
The finish tea will only be as good as the quality of the water source and tea used in the preparation. Start with fresh purified water and bring to a rolling boil (170 F – 190 F). Next, using a preheated teapot or tea mug with infuser, add 1 teaspoon of tea leaves per 8 ounce cup and pour hot water over the tea leaves. Experiment with the leaf quantity as you go. Let it steep for 1 to 3 minutes. Separate the tea leaves from the tea and serve.
